Before applying for a J-1 visa to teach in the US, read below the specific qualifications required for eligibility. These are the regulations. We cannot make exception. Every condition must be met.
J–1 teacher visa Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for J-1 teacher visa status, foreign teachers must:
(1) qualify to teach in K-12 schools in country of nationality or last legal residence;
(2) have equivalent of a four-year U.S. university degree in teaching or the subject they will teach;
(3) have at least two years (24 months) full–time teaching experience;
(4) satisfy the standards of the US state in which you plan to teach;
(5) be of good reputation and character, and work as a full–time classroom teacher with a minimum of 32 hours per week;
(6) be currently working as a TEACHER in home country or country of last legal residence;
(7) be fluent in English – able to understand and speak.
